Malmberg qualified for the World Championship by advancing from the local tour to the Regional Championships where her top-five finish at the US Kids Regional Championship at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla., in December and her qualifying score at the Regional Championship in Jekyll Island Georgia in March earned her an invitation.

Among her other golf accomplishments, Malmberg has placed first and has numerous top five awards in local tour events, has finished in the top 10 at the US Kids Regionals in Tampa and Phoenix and is the current Mendham Golf and Tennis Club Juniors (12 and under) Club Champion.
