
The Mendham Minutemen baseball team's season came to an end Tuesday afternoon, after losing to sister-school West Morris Central in the NJSIAA North 2 Group 3 sectional semifinals, by a score of 5-0.
Central’s junior pitcher Mike Feula tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit–which came in the first inning–and two walks, according to Central head coach Dan Wydner. Of the pitcher's 21 outs recorded, 16 came via ground ball, Wydner said.
Senior Connor Young had two hits–including a two-run homerun–and three RBI to pace the ‘Pack.

Mendham’s Chris Murphy grabbed the Minutemen’s only hit of the afternoon and also took a walk. Nick Pedallino and Nick Maguire, hit by a pitch and walked, respectively, were the only other Minutemen to reach base.
West Morris Central, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, will face Cranford, the top seed, on Friday at 4 p.m.
