Mendham Borough Police Alter Response Procedure Amid Coronavirus

Authorities stress they will still respond to all calls.

MENDHAM, NJ - Due to the fluid situation around the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, outbreak, the Mendham Borough Police Department has modified some protocols and service responses.

In a statement, Mendham Borough Police said that they will always respond to emergencies and medical calls, but will be taking steps to safeguard their officers and maintain continued preparedness.

Because of this, response times may increase as officers put on personal protection equipment and coordinate with First Aid Squad members to guarantee everyone's safety. Residents can also make non-emergency reports through the department's website.
