Mendham Boys Win First Ever County Track Title
West Morris Mendham Boys Track and Field Team takes Morris County Championship in Boonton.
The West Morris Mendham boys track and field team made history again on Wednesday, capturing their first ever Morris County Championship at Boonton High Schol.
The Minutemen outpaced their rivals for the first place trophy by overmatching all 18 public and private schools that participated.
Mendham won the meet by racking up solid performances across the sprinting, distance, and field events and this big win follows their first-ever win at the Morris County Relay Championships held two weeks ago.

The Morris County Championships are a two day event, similar to the County Relay Championships, and as was the case two weeks ago, the Minutemen made it interesting.
Trailing the first day of competition by 12 points in the standings, Mendham redoubled their efforts to win the county title and had team members place in almost every event.

Standout performances included Spenser Clouse’s first place finish in the High Jump and 21’ 10” long jump which was tied for the second best of the event, Justin Naselli finishing second in each of the 1600m and 3200m races, Adam Mszanski’s second place finish in the Pole Vault, and the 4x400m team of Dylan Heraghty, Tom Pavarini, Pat Carney, and Christian Kildal-Brandt winning the final race of the day and sealing the team’s victory with a dramatic finish and earning the best 4x400m time in the county this season.
Other team members contributing points to the victory in included Cory Pressl, Paul Ehmann, Stephon Cole, and John Obiedzinski.
