ICYMI: Mendham Dog Needs Home, Could You Be Vera's Forever Family?
This friendly dog has been at the animal shelter for nearly 30 weeks, and is still waiting for a family.

MENDHAM, NJ— A local rescue dog is still looking for her forever home after spending 30 weeks at the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter.
Vera is a young terrier mix. She's housebroken, up to date on her vaccinations and spayed. She keeps her kennel neat, and loves to play with her squeaky toys.
"Vera knows many basic commands, walks extremely well on a leash," Sunny Nowell said, calling her a volunteer favorite. "Loves to play with toys especially squeaky ones. She also thinks she's a lapdog! Anytime anyone visits with her in her kennel she loves to snuggle and climb into your lap!"

She will do best with an experienced dog owner as the only pet.
"We took a walk, worked on commands, took pictures, and snuggled. The sad thing is that if I calculate it correctly, it has been 30 Monday's and 29 Thursday's we have been doing this because VERA has been sitting at the shelter....waiting.... That's way too days that this sweet girl has been sitting here," a shelter volunteer wrote on Facebook.
