The regular season opponents will remain the same, but come playoff time, the Mendham Minutemen football team could see a different type of competition.
Heading into the 2015 season, which officially kicks off on the road Sept. 11 against Vernon, the team has been moved from the Section II, Group IV category to the Section I, Group IV category.
Decades-old rivalries against the likes of Central, Randolph, Morristown and other county teams will remain the same, thanks to the team’s inclusion to the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, but the team may see unknown competition in the playoffs.
