Mendham Player Taken to Hospital During Football Game

Freshman was transported to Morristown Medical Center over the weekend after fourth-quarter injury.

An ambulance was called to Mendham High School on Saturday when a member of the Minutemen freshman football team went down with an injury in the fourth quarter of their contest with West Morris Central.

Wolfpack and Minutemen alike waited quietly while trainers and coaches assessed the injury and then called in first reponders.

According to Mendham Borough Police Chief Pat Libertino, the call was a first aid call for a possible neck injury. The player was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
