Amelia Paone competed in the United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs championship events May 26 and 27.
Eight-year-old and Mendham resident Amelia Paone spent her Memorial Day weekend in Wildwood.
However, she was not there to enjoy the back, but rather spent her time at the convention center competing in the United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs, New Jersey State Championship and the United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs, Northeast Regional Championship.
On Saturday Paone competed in the New Jersey State Championship and medaled in all four events including balance beam, floor exercise, vault and unevent bars on her way to taking the All-Around Gold medal for the eight-year-old Bronze Division New Jersey State Championship.
