Mendham High School Ranked 30th In New Jersey By School Review Site

One half of West Morris Regional hits number 61 in New York Metro area.

Another ranking, another high standing among its peers.

In its 2015 nationally-compiled list of top high schools, niche.com ranks Mendham High School at number 30 in the state of New Jersey, giving it “A” grades in eight of 10 categories.

It did, however, receive a “B+” in food, and a “C” in student culture & diversity.

The ranking also put Mendham High School at 61st in the New York Metro area, but not in the top-100 for national competition.

Other rankings last year had Mendham much higher, with New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s bi-annual list putting the school at fourth in the state, followed a few weeks later by Newsweek ranking the institution 81st in the country.

Both of those rankings were elevated from their sources’ previous lists.

Niche.com’s methodology wasn’t just based on statistical data like graduation rates and test scores; it includes student, parent, and alumni opinions from surveys given.

The website used “data sourced from various government and public data sets, Niche’s own proprietary data, and 4,625,227 opinion-based survey responses across a variety of topics from 287,560 current students, recent alumni, and parents.”

Niche.com is a website devoted to school reviews and rankings across the country.
