Mendham Middle Schooler Earns Leadership Award
Alex D'Avi was recognized as this year's graduating eighth-grade recipient of the Morris County award.
MENDHAM, NJ — A Mendham Borough middle schooler was recently presented with the special leadership award.
According to the announcement, the award is given to a graduating eighth-grade student from each school district in Morris County. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mitzi Morillo said she was proud to present the award this year to Mountain View Middle School's Alex D'Avi.
The announcement described Alex as "representative of well-rounded leadership and service, balancing significant school responsibilities with meaningful, inclusive community involvement and strong engagement in the classroom." The recognition points to both his work at school and his involvement in the community.

Joining Alex for the recognition were his parents, Kimberly and Joseph D'Avi, and Mountain View Middle School Principal Aimee Toth.
