Mendham Patriots 5K, Kids' Fun Run Set For This Weekend

There is still time to register for either event.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — There is still time to register for the Mendham Patriots 5K and Kids' Fun Run, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at Brookside Field.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and will include special programming, games, and activities tied to the commemoration of America’s 250th birthday.

The Patriots Race is Mendham Township Recreation’s largest fundraiser of the year. Registration fees help support future beach, fireworks, community, and senior programming events, township officials said.

The Kids' Fun Run has also been expanded this year to include a special Patriots Fair and race winner announcements. Activities will include bounce houses, an ice cream party, and medals for all child runners.

The fair will also feature old-time games, including hoop and stick from 1775; a craft station where children can make trifold hats like Revolutionary War soldiers; a Boston Tea Party reenactment with loose tea leaves; and a station where participants can learn to write with quill pens.
