Mendham Patriots Trot to Thanksgiving Tourney Title

The Mendham Patriots had one more item to add to the “what I’m thankful for” list over the holiday weekend.

Sure, there was turkey, family, and some downtime from school. But for the Mendham Patriots 8th Grade girls’ travel basketball team, there was a title afoot.

Competing in the Drew University Thanksgiving Weekend Turkey Classic, the girls worked their way through a highly competitive bracket and came out trotting as champions.

The team is coached by Dave Meyers and Mike Surella. Players include Megan Timoney, Kelly McIntyre, CeCe Gunning, Michelle Fanelli, Gabby Donofrio, Joey Meyers, Sophia Augustine, Jordyn Betlow, Jessye Sabetta, Jessica Beneducci, and Isabella Pellechia.
