Mendham Players presents PETER AND THE STARCATCHER: November 4th & 5th at 7 p.m.

Peter and the Starcatcher is a musical adventure that follows the orphan Peter and his quirky friends from England to the high seas full of scheming and dangerously funny pirates. Their final stop is on the magical island of Neverland where Peter becomes the magical immortal boy audiences will recognize. Imagination is the theme of this Peter Pan prequel in which a dozen actors take on over 100 roles as they float, fly, and frolic on stage.

West Morris Mendham High School's Mendham Players is set to perform Peter and the Starcatcher at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 4th & 5th in the Mendham High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 students/$12 adults. For more information, contact mendham.players@gmail.com.

The Mendham Players' club motto "No Divas" is lived each and every day by the over 100 students who over the course of the school year's performances: sing, dance, and act on stage; choreograph and block scenes; work backstage in props, lighting, and sound; play music in the pit orchestra; design and construct the set; and organize ticket sales, marketing, and concessions. The photos attest to the fact that students are at the heart of all facets of West Morris Regional High School District's Mendham Players productions. The club is in its fourth year of existence and is essentially what was the school's long-running drama club reimagined by co-advisors Joey Braccino and Molly Oehrlein, both English teachers at Mendham. This year they are joined by new English teacher Lindsay Andros as Producer who brings to the organization her years of expertise with theatrical productions. West Morris Regional High School District Superintendent Michael Ben-David, an avid music and theatre supporter himself, has taken note of the club's success and is collaborating with the Mendham music and theatre departments with regard to needs for future productions so that the high quality of performances can continue at WMMHS for years to come. As Peter himself said in the original 1911 Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, “The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it.”
