It’s not just the non-profit organizations that are benefitting from the school’s harvesting, however. The garden has also yielded fresh food to the school cafeteria as a healthy supplement to the students’ lunch menu, according to Brianna Cubby, a fifth grade science teacher in Mendham.
The “Teaching Garden” was created to teach students about science and the evolution of plant and food life.
