Mendham Township Musical Celebrates Differences
Mendham Township Middle School stages HONK Jr. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
This week, Mendham Township Middle School students bring life to a musical with a message.
HONK Jr., a musical based on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling" will take the stage at Mendham Township Middle School at 7 p.m. March 7-9 with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
The show is hosted by the Mendham Township Middle School and the Mendham Township Recreation Department.

Directed by Debbie Kirsch, the story of Honk follows an odd-looking baby duck named Ugly as he goes on a quest to find his mother. With the help of new friends that he meets along the way (including a comical troupe of geese and an ebullient bullfrog) his journey home becomes an adventure—and an exuberant celebration of being different. This retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling is designed to be a comic musical for the entire family.
