Constantino said some of the bus routes might be compromised still, and that officials would be reaching out.
"If your bus route is disrupted, you will receive a message from our Transportation Department with additional instructions and information," Constantino said.
Mendham Township Police Lieutenant Vito Abrusci said that power lines being down were still a concern and residents needed to be careful when sending their children out to the bus stop.
"There may be lines on the ground that shouldn't have charge because they are phone lines or cable lines, but you never know if they could be crossed somewhere with a powerline somewhere else," Abrusci said. "So be careful and stay away from all lines you see on the ground."
