The West Morris Mendham Boys Track & Field team ended their “dream season” last month at the New Balance Outdoor Championships held in Greensboro, NC.
Competing with the best of the best from across the country, West Morris Mendham brought with them the same drive and determination for excellence that they brought to all of their prior competitions this spring.
The first event for West Morris Mendham was the 4x100 EE Relay and the team of Sam Curtis, Dylan Heraghty, Christian Kildal-Brandt, and Patrick Carney took 14th place with a time of 44:27.
The next morning saw the squad of Christian Kildal-Brandt, Malcom Montilus, Patrick Carney, and Dylan Heraghty compete in the Championship 4x200M Relay where the team placed 21st overall and set a new West Morris Mendham school record of 1:30.65.
In the Championship 4x1 Mile Relay, Paul Ehmann, Tyler Pressl, Justin Naselli, and Tom Pavarini ran a 18:22.85 to take 22nd place.
West Morris Mendham was also represented by Adam Mszanski in the pole vault competition and representing the West Morris Mendham Girls track and field program was Mackenzie Barry who finished in 12th place in the Championship 5000m Run.
In the final event of the Championships, in the 4x400m EE Relay, the team of Christian Kildal-Brandt, Patrick Carney, Tom Pavarini, and Dylan Heraghty took home a bronze medal by finishing in 3rd place with a time of 3:20.92 and setting a new West Morris Mendham school record.
