Mendham Tracksters Take Sectional Crown
Minutemen track and field team blows away competition in Memorial Day weekend contest.

The Mendham Boys Track and Field team's history-making season continued Memorial Day weekend as the squad blew away the competition on their way to a sectional title.
The Minutemen amassed 120 points in the Millburn based contest, nearly doubling up their neatest opponent season continued this past weekend a with big win at the NJ Sectionals held in Millburn.
Mendham's depth and broad range of talents led them to the Group 3 North 2 sectional win, tallying more points than any team has in this section in nearly 20 years (online records date back to 1996).

The event started Friday night amid heavy rain, wind and temperatures in the 40’s and despite the adverse conditions, Mendham performed as they had all season long.
The sectional victory is the latest in a long lineof successful contests for the Minutemen, including recent wins at the Morris County Championship and Morris County Relay Championships – both firsts in Mendham Track and Field history. Also included have been wins at large invitational meets such as the Morris Hills Relays, Madison Relays, Summit Relays, as well as each of the dual- and tri-meets held throughout the season.

This weekend’s Sectionals win in included key performances from:
- 400m Hurdles: Cory Pressl Third Place
- 1600m Run: Justin Naselli (First), Tom Pavarini (Second), and Paul Ehmann (Fifth)
- 4x800m Relay: First Place, team of Tom Pavarini, Paul Ehmann, Tyler Pressl, Justin Naselli
- Discuss Throw: John Obiedzinski (Second) and Ryan Repogle (Fifth)
- Triple Jump: Adam Mszanski (Fifth)
- High Jump: Spenser Clouse (Second) and Malcom Montilus (tied for Third)
- 100m Hurdles: Cory Pressl (Sixth)
- 800m Run: Christian Kildal-Brandt (Fourth) and Tom Pavarini (Fifth)
- 3200m Run: Justin Naselli (First) and Paul Ehmann (Fourth)
- 4x100m Relay: Third Place team of Sam Curtis, Dylan Heraghty, Christian Kildal-Brandt, and Pat Carney
- 4x400m Relay: First Place team of Dylan Heraghty, Malcom Montilus, Pat Carney, and Christian Kildal-Brandt
- Shot Put: Matt Flanagan (Third)
- Javelin: Connor Hess (Fifth)
- Long Jump: Spenser Clouse (Third)
- Pole Vault: Adam Mszanski (tied for First)
