Police Check School Security, Promote Bus Safety On First Day In Mendham Twp.

Chief Johnson and four officers stopped by township schools last week to educate students on bus safety and check school security.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — School is back in session for Mendham Township students, and police inspected buildings for security on the first day.

Chief Ross Johnson and four officers stopped by district schools on Aug. 24 as a new year began, police said. They also reminded students about bus safety.

"Sgt. Morrison, Det. Arnesen, Ptl. DiGregorio along w/Chief Johnson were at our schools today greeting students on their first day, conducting security checks as well as going over bus safety on their buses at dismissal," the department said Wednesday. "Big shoutout to all the awesome staff and students at our schools on a great first day!"
