Messy Roads Force Schedule Change for Local Schools Wednesday

A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain overnight forced the Chester, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township and West Morris Regional school districts to open two hours later than usual Wednesday.

The decision to have a two-hour delayed opening was made just after 5 a.m. by all districts.

Temperatures are expected to rise Wednesday and rain will fall throughout the day, but anywhere between three and seven inches of snow could fall between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon.
