Minutemen Drop Heartbreaker to County Rival
Mendham football team looking to even record in final game of the season.

In its quest to make the playoffs under the second tour of Bill Carpluk, the Mendham Minutemen football team hit a snag on Saturday, but played its heart out nonetheless.
Mendham dropped the matinee to county rival Morristown, 17-14, according to nj.com.
Minutemen quarterback Jack Horan hit David Berkinsky on a 5-yard touchdown pass and ran one in himself, the report said, accounting for both the team’s scores.

Morristown kicker Ethan Bolston nailed a 42-yard field goal, the longest of his career, to break the tie with just over six minutes left in the game, nj.com said, and the Minutemen couldn’t mount a comeback.
Mendham hits the road in the final regular game of the season to face Montville Friday at 7 p.m. Playoff brackets become available next weekend.
