Minutemen Football's Road to Redemption Begins in Friday Night Playoff Tilt
Mendham can avenge '13 title game loss with opening round playoff win against Philipsburg this week.

The road to redemption begins Friday night for the Mendham Minutemen.
A magical season that led the varsity football team to the North 2, Group 4 sectional final game in 2014 came to an end at the hands of Philipsburg by a score of 39-0. Not exactly the bitter taste a proud program wanted to have in its mouth for an entire offseason.
Now the Minutemen have the opportunity for redemption on Friday night, this time in Philipsburg against the No. 2 seed team in the NJSIAA sectional playoffs. Mendham, with 5-4 regular season record, drew the No. 7 seed. The winner of the quarterfinal game will head to the semifinals to play the winner of Irvington (No. 3) vs. Woodbridge (No. 6) on Nov. 21.
