Nothing But 'Blue' Skies Ahead for Mendham Twp. Middle School
Assemblyman Anthony Bucco visits school to celebrate Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence designation.

A national honor has been bestowed upon Mendham Township’s Middle School, and with it comes a series of firsts, not to mention deserved recognition.
Mendham Township Middle School has been named a 2014 Blue Ribbon Award winner as an “Exemplary High Performing School,” and hosted New Jersey Assemblyman Anthony Bucco this week to celebrate the honor.
In the 32 years since the award was created, MTMS is just the 21st public school in New Jersey to receive the recognition, and the first Morris County middle school to do so.

“We should be proud that Mendham Township Middle School is the first ever public middle school to be chosen from Morris County,” said Bucco at the school, according to a statement from his office. “It is incredible that 97% of MTMS students scored proficient in math and 98% in language arts. What is even more impressive is that 80% of the students scored advanced proficient in the math section!”
In addition to the Blue Ribbon award, MTMS has been named a New Jersey Reward School for the last three years.
