Pastime Club 50/50 Winner Spreads the Wealth
Mendham's Mike O'Ryan donates back a portion of his winnings.

Fall may be upon us, but the Pastime Club in Mendham is wrapping up their summer business with the 50/50 winners from the Labor Day Carnival.
This past labor day marked the 69th annual carnival, and it was a success for the balance of the long weekend. One of the things that residents look forward to is the 50/50 raffle.
"Members of the club each commit to selling tickets in an effort to generate a large pool, and this year's pool was just shy of $40,000," said Michael Greco of the Pastime Club. " This year's winner was Mike O'Ryan of Mendham, who has generously offered to return a portion of his prize back to the club to further our civic activities."

According to Greco, the club offers 50% of the pool as a prize to the winner, and the remaining net proceeds are used to fund local youth sports activities.
"The Pastime Club's motto is 'Progress in Sports', and we pursue that objective with our donations to dozens of local youth sports organizations each year," Greco said. " Over the past several years the club has donated over $100,000 to organizations in our local communities, all of which is made possible by the annual 50/50 raffle."
