Planned Tree Work To Close Route 24 In Mendham Township

The construction work is planned to begin Friday at 9 a.m. due to "extensive treework," according to township police.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — The section of Route 24 between Roxiticus Road and the center of Mendham Borough will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 10, due to "extensive treework," according to township police.

Multiple crane-assisted tree removals will be carried out in the vicinity of 88 W. Main Street by the township.

According to the township police traffic alert, planned detours will be in place to help motorists navigate the closures.

Westbound traffic will be detoured down Mountain Avenue to Mountainside Road, which will lead to Ironia Road.

Eastbound traffic will be diverted down Roxiticus Road, Union Schoolhouse Road, Pleasant Valley Road, and Hilltop Road.

Officers will be on hand throughout the detour to assist residents in getting to their destinations and businesses will be open during this time and can be reached from the town center.
