Platypus Store Hold Auction For School

During its Grand Opening celebration, PLATYPUS, the custom home furnishing store, in Chester, held a charity auction to benefit The Midland School.

On Saturday, June 2, 2012, during its Grand Opening celebration, PLATYPUS, the custom home furnishing store, in Chester, N.J. held a charity auction to benefit The Midland School. All forty auction lots of furniture and home décor were sold and 100 percent of the proceeds were donated to the Midland School, a comprehensive special education school for children with developmental disabilities.

On Friday, June 8, 2012 PLATYPUS owner, Mr. Jeffrey Schulman presented Midland with a check for $14,625—the proceeds from the Grand Opening auction celebration. “We are so grateful to Jeffrey Schulman and the PLATYPUS team for putting this event together,” said Executive Director, Philip M. Gartlan. “The whole experience exceeded our expectations way beyond the amount raised. We were touched to see a group of people that believed so strongly in the Midland mission that they went above and beyond to support it.”
