Early Dismissal At Mendham School Due To Power Outage: See Details
Officials warn that a downed tree in the area may cause traffic delays.
MENDHAM, NJ — Limited power at Mendham Township Middle School has officials executing an early dismissal.
Around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Mendham Township School District announced that a power issue, likely due to last night's intense storm, has electricians scrambling to fix it.
"We are in direct communication with JCP&L and are working to have service restored as quickly as possible," district officials said. "Our team is actively monitoring conditions in the building to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff."

With the power outage causing water and network issues, officials have decided to dismiss students at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Power is expected to be restored at the school by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

School officials added that a downed tree at the intersection of Tingley Road and Washington Valley Road may impact traffic in the area.
