Psychic Predicted Chester Man's $1.14M Lottery Wins

CHESTER, NJ — When Chester resident David Thomson visited a psychic in October 2016, she had some very good news for him, saying, "I see a lot of money in your near future, and I see love coming in your near future as well."

The psychic was shockingly correct. Between December 2016 and June 2017, Thomson won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot twice, and met and married the love of his life.

Thomson is a regular lottery player, usually selecting his own Jersey Cash 5 numbers. Just two months after visiting the psychic, Thomson won the Dec. 14, 2016 jackpot, worth $160,485.

Elated, he wrote $1,000 checks to 18 friends and family members before even cashing on his ticket.

"I never felt better in my life – I saw what it was like to give, better than to receive," Tomson said, showing surprised friends a photo of the winning ticket on his cell phone.

Thomson's good luck was just getting started. Just two weeks later, Thomson met his future wife, Supreeya, at a party. The couple married on June 3, and the next day Thomson bought another Cash 5 ticket.

Then on June 30 his numbers were drawn again, and he won nearly a million dollars. His second jackpot was worth $984,158, bringing his total winnings up to $1,144,643.

"Yes, anything really can happen in Jersey," New Jersey Lottery Officials said.
