MENDHAM, NJ — In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Mendhams Stigma Free Task Force has announced that their first annual "Stomp Out the Stigma Walk" will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse issues.

The Walk's proceeds will go toward an important Mendham initiative called "The People's Picnic," which is a collaborative social art project designed to inspire optimism and community awareness.

The project consists of yellow wooden picnic tables strategically placed throughout the community to serve as a visible marker for mental health awareness as well as a "tool" to inspire positive conversations about hope, resilience and optimism.
