Runners 'Hustle' to Bring in $17K for Mendham Schools
Scholarship fund and school association recipients of fifth annual fundraiser.
Mendham Borough Schools scored big last weekend, as the fifth annual Harvest Hustle 5K fundraiser raked in thousands of dollars.
Despite the fog and dreary conditions, the community-wide event saw 500 runners take to the streets in the annual 5K and walk with 1-mile Kids’ Fun Run. The event raises funds for Mendham Borough Homes and Schools Association and the Richard Morales Scholarship Fund, according to a statement from the organization.
More than $17,000 was raised as a result of the Saturday morning event.

“This is truly a community-wide event. It really reaches beyond the schools and shows how our Borough services, businesses, educators, students and families all come together. We couldn’t do it without the support of a great committee, the principals of our schools and our sponsors,” said Amy Johanson, Harvest Hustle race director in a statement.
The race was more than just fun, as a handful of runners showed their distance skills.
