MENDHAM, NJ — The National Water Main Cleaning Company (NWMCC) is continuing work on a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project that will affect eight different roads in the borough this week, according to officials.

During construction hours, officials have asked residents to limit the amount of liquid that goes down their drains and avoid using washing machines or dishwashers to avoid sewer flows backing up into their property.

The goal of the sewer project is to clear and reconstruct clogged sewer lines, which pose a variety of risks ranging from angry residents to public safety hazards.
