St. Joseph Students, Families Raise $1K for Soup Kitchen

Three students lead organization efforts to aid local charity.

Taking part in the Community Soup Kitchen's largest annual fundraiser, 30 students and family members from St. Joseph School in Mendham helped bring in about $1,000 for the local charity.

The group, consisting of 10 different families, walked in the Outreach Center Walk for Hunger 5K in Morristown on Sunday, Oct. 20, the school said in a press release.

St. Joseph School students and Community Soup Kitchen Youth Council members Michael Cantaluppi, Max Lagana, and Marguerite Munley organized the event for the school, the press release said.

The students spoke to fellow students about the Community Soup Kitchen and invited them to support those in need by joining the fundraiser.
