Street Improvements Are Set To Start In Chester Township

Chester Township will be performing micro paving along ten township roads over the next week.

CHESTER, NJ — Chester Township will begin a micro paving road project this week, according to officials, which will affect ten different township roads.

The project is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 22, and will last until Wednesday, July 27, with each day focusing on two to three roads.

When the Micro Paving process on the selected streets is completed and fully cured, the new road surface will have the following characteristics. The road will be dark black in color with a textured finish.

  • Monday: Hunters Trail, Colts Run and Forest View Drive
  • Tuesday: Winding Way and Willow Drive
  • Wednesday: Robin Court, Chestnut Drive and Horton Drive

The project's goal is to eventually transform the chosen roadways into a semi-smooth to smooth surface, with any raised seams, cul-de-sacs, or intersections wearing in and smoothing out over time, officials said.

In the event that there are poor or unfavorable weather conditions, the micro-paving will be postponed and work will resume on the next good weather day.
