Teen Volunteers Spread Holiday Cheer for Chester to Hear
Weekend shoppers on Main Street have been greeted by young, smiling faces this season.

Chester’s Main Street is a beautiful array of holiday spirit this time of year, but what sweetens the pot is the people behind the scenes making the season come to life.
This year, for an hour on two separate weekends, a group of volunteer teenagers came out and spent time wishing passersby happy holidays and thanking them for supporting local businesses.
The idea came when Maria Solano, owner of Maria’s on Main Street, mentioned she wanted to hire teens to dress as elves and give out candy canes during the season’s busy weekends.

A response by six Chester residents was beyond her wish, as they went out and spread holiday cheer for all to hear.
