'There's Blood Everywhere': Husband’s 911 Call After Finding NJ Wonan’s Bloody Body Released
Brooke Hanlon's husband frantically dialed 911 after his wife was stabbed to death.
CHESTER, NJ — The audio of the 911 call reporting the slaying of wife, mother, and therapist Brooke Hanlon in Chester has been released.
The frantic phone call was made by husband James Hanlon, who dialed 911 around 4:30 p.m. on June 6.
"I just found my wife. I don't know what's going on," he tells the 911 operator, then asks for CPR instruction. At points he can be heard yelling and panicked.

"I need you here, I need you here immediately," James Hanlon tells the operator. A bit later he says, "There's blood everywhere."
Later during the call, which lasts 6 minutes, 38 seconds, James Hanlon can be heard saying "I need you here,” in a pleading tone, and trying to follow along with the operator's counts as he's performing CPR.

OPERATOR: 9-1-1, operator, 4-8-4, what's the address of the emergency?
HANLON: 339, 339 Pottersville Road, Chester Township.
OPERATOR: Okay, bear with me one moment.
HANLON: Oh my God, I need an ambulance.

HANLON: Bloody, I need...
OPERATOR: Okay, tell me exactly what happened. I know you said your wife is bloody.
HANLON: I just found my wife. I don't know what's going on. CPR, I need CPR instruction.
OPERATOR: Okay, she's not breathing or conscious?
HANLON: Oh my God, there's a laceration in her chest!
OPERATOR: Okay, sir, bear with me one moment. We're getting help there. Just stay on the line; I need some more information, okay?
HANLON: Please, I don't know... There's blood. I need you here, I need you here immediately.

OPERATOR (beginning CPR instruction): Alright, listen carefully, and I'll tell you how to do chest compressions, sir. Place the heel of your hand on the breastbone in the center of the chest, right between the nipples.
HANLON: That's where there's a cut, that's where there's a cut!
OPERATOR: I'm sorry, what was that, sir?
HANLON: There's blood everywhere.

At this point, about three minutes into the call, the 911 operator guides through chest compressions until first responders arrive. Throughout the call, Hanlon reiterates that there are cuts on his wife's chest and "blood everywhere."
Authorities were originally called to the Hanlon household on reports of a "Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest." Based on the audio from the 911 call, first responders got to the home in less than seven minutes.
Instead of a cardiac patient, authorities found resident Brooke Hanlon, 35, stabbed to death in her home.
Background
More than a month after Brooke Hanlon was found stabbed to death in her Chester home on Pottersville Road authorities are still looking for answers.
An autopsy conducted by the Morris County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities were slow to release the identity of the victim, waiting more than three weeks to provide her name. Even now, details on the slaying, including potential suspects and a murder weapon, are scarce, despite Patch's several inquiries to law enforcement.
No arrests have been announced at this time.
What is known is that Brooke was the wife of 911-caller and husband James Hanlon, with whom she shared a baby daughter. Additionally, Brooke Hanlon was a marriage and family counselor, according to her LinkedIn profile.
According to Fox News Digital, James Hanlon has been in communication with Morris County authorities and has obtained an attorney.
Brooke's family has spoken out to several outlets, including her sister, Paige Haggerty, who told Fox that Brooke was the "sweetest, purest person that I have ever known in my entire life."
"Everything that I know, I have learned from her," Haggerty added. "I've never lived without her. She taught me everything."
"She was remarkable in every way. She was also very, very good at her job," Hanlon's father, Joseph Haggerty, told the Daily Mail. "She was a child therapist and really helped people."
"Our community was saddened to learn of Saturday’s incident," Chester Mayor Tim Drag said days after the slaying. "Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, friends, and all those affected by this tragedy."
Reward For Information
With no leads announced and details remaining scarce, the Chester Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office, and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office are turning to the public for help.
Law enforcement is seeking "the public’s assistance with providing any information concerning the death of Brooke Hanlon or suspicious activity observed in the area of Pottersville Road."
The sheriff's office is offering a $1,000 award for information that could lead to an arrest.
