Thunder Struck: West Morris Youth Soccer Team Nets Championship
Congratulatory billboard lets Rt. 78 travelers know who the winners are.

They are members of four different communities, playing on a single team, competing for a common goal.
And for the 12 members of the U10 West Morris Soccer Club’s Thunder team, made up of athletes from the Mendhams and Chesters, that goal was accomplished after a fruitful season.
Late last week the team finished its season in first place in its Flight, resulting in the championship title.

If trophies weren’t enough, the winning squad had a congratulatory billboard with a team photo posted on Rt. 78 eastbound at exit 49, a half-mile east of Route 24 in Millburn.
The team was coached by John Hartley, Craig Eisenhardt, and Anthony Cresti.
