"I love the idea of a Trader Joes or Whole Foods because we don't have anything like that in the area," Jennifer Simon posted on Patch. "But I believe the best use of the site might be a Farm to Table restaurant that would make use of a number of area farms."

Maria Thompson said that large retail stores had no place in Chester.

"If people want stores like that they are not in the right town," Thompson posted.

Other people posting wanted new ideas.

"Still talking about another bank and a CVS? Upperscale shops? Hello, Coach closed down in the Streets of Chester. Why? No business. Bed and Breakfast, seriously? Hello, the Publick House, right down Main Street can't rent a room to save their lives," Tracey Brennan posted. "Affordable Housing? Yep, its needed, but there? Organic Farm? Hello, Alstede's is right down the road. Any new ideas?"

The conversation continues Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Chester Borough Hall. The meeting is open to the public and opinions on the property are still being sought.

Chester Community Night

Can you imagine building windmills using 60,000 LEGO building blocks ?

That is exactly what 50 families are going to do with each family working as a family team. The Community Night program will take place on Thursday evening March 7, 2013, at the Bragg Elementary School Cafeteria.  Each family team will build their own windmill 2-3 feet tall, in a two hour time period. The windmills are a total expression of your favorite colors, pattern, and is meant to be a whimsical creation.
