Chester, N.J., July 16, 2016 – Dean’s Natural Food Market (Dean’s) opened its newest location at the Streets of Chester (SOC) shopping center in Chester, NJ on Saturday, July 16. The store, which is the fourth Dean’s in the state, was commemorated with a special grand opening ceremony coordinated by the SOC and the Historic Chester Business Association (HCBA). The event began with a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring speeches from Dean’s Director of Marketing, Andrea Tudor, HCBA’s Corresponding Secretary Don Pollard, Chester Mayor Janet Hoven, and Dean’s Natural Food Market Founder Dean Nelson. Nelson reiterated the company’s dedication to providing high quality organic produce and healthy foodstuffs, as well as its values of family, community and diversity.

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees were able to shop Dean’s 100% organic produce department, as well as their signature award-winning organic juice and smoothie bar and fresh foods department. Shoppers were also treated to various sales, a raffle, tastings by several vendors, including Organic Valley and C2O and the first 500 customers received a free limited-edition Dean’s shopping tote. The Dean’s management considered the event to be highly successful, with over 600 people in attendance.

According to Tudor, “What sets Dean’s apart is that everything we offer meets our strict quality standards for non-GMO ingredients, 100 percent organic produce, and only the highest-quality meats, prepared foods, smoothies, and juices. We also offer paper and cleaning products, housewares, and other grocery items that meet elevated environmental standards for recycling and sustainability. We’re passionate about organic and environmentally-responsible products and represent a full-service grocery store to the next level.”
