Files Climate Lawsuit Against Major Oil Companies (patch.com) — Middlesex County, which includes the town of Middlesex, is suing major oil companies to recoup hundreds of millions spent responding to storms like Irene, Sandy, Ida and Henri. Officials say repeated flooding along the Raritan River and Bay has strained local budgets, and they hope the climate lawsuit will help fund future protections for vulnerable neighborhoods.
