Middlesex Walk, Bike And Roll To School Day Is Coming: What To Know

Students and parents are encouraged to walk, bike or roll safely to school, while drivers are urged to stay alert.

MIDDLESEX, NJ — Middlesex students and parents are being encouraged to leave the car behind Wednesday for Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day.

The Middlesex Borough Police Department said the day is intended to encourage children to be more active and promote safe routes to school.

Police also urged motorists to watch for pedestrians and cyclists and "remain alert to the presence of children on their way to and from school."

In a Tuesday alert, police encouraged students to walk, bike or roll safely while keeping pedestrian and cyclists safety in mind.

The Middlesex Borough Police Department is participating in partnership with Keep Middlesex Moving and the Middlesex Board of Education.
