Property Inspections Underway In Middlesex: What Homeowners Should Know

MIDDLESEX, NJ — Property owners could see inspectors at their homes as Middlesex continues its five-year reassessment program.

The borough is entering the program's third year, and Tax Assessor's Office representatives will conduct field inspections throughout Middlesex.

Inspectors may measure buildings and structures and verify property information currently on record.

The borough emphasized that the inspection is not an appraisal, and inspectors will not assign a property value during the visit.

Inspections generally take no more than 15 minutes, and inspectors will carry borough identification. If nobody is home, a postcard will be left explaining how to schedule an appointment.

Questions can be directed to the Middlesex Borough Tax Assessor's Office at 732-356-7400 ext. 270 or by emailing taxassessor@middlesexboro-nj.gov.
