Crash Closes Part Of Mountain Avenue In Middlesex

MIDDLESEX, NJ — Drivers were asked to avoid Mountain Avenue on Wednesday after a motor vehicle crash closed the roadway.

Mountain Avenue is closed between Bound Brook Road, also known as Route 28, and Hawthorne Street, according to an advisory issued by the Middlesex Borough Police Department at 1:31 p.m.

The closure will remain in place “until further notice,” police said. Authorities advised motorists to avoid the area and allow additional travel time while traveling through the borough.

The advisory did not include information about injuries, the number of vehicles involved or when the affected section of Mountain Avenue may reopen.
