Elementary Student Brings Bullets Into School, South Plainfield Police Responded
A teacher noticed the student was showing classmates several bullets.
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ ā A student brought bullets into a South Plainfield elementary school on Wednesday, police in that town announced Friday.
Police were called to the school at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The student was showing classmates several bullets.
Police said a teacher was alerted to the situation and immediately checked the studentās personal belongings and desk, and found no additional weapons.

The bullets were confiscated and turned over to the schoolās School Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO). The student, age not given, was also removed from the class.
On that day, there were postings on social media saying a weapon was involved, and threats were made to other students, but neither of those is accurate, police said Friday. At no time were students in danger.
