Make Memories and Best Friends
“Summer is often a challenging time for working families,” said Old Bridge Family Y Camp Director Geremy Graham. “Parents and guardians can enjoy peace of mind knowing their children are spending their days immersed in activities based upon the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.”
Kids and teens will make memories and forge lasting friendships. Campers can also look forward to weekly themes designed to inspire creativity and curiosity.
At the Old Bridge Family YMCA day camp, campers will enjoy:
- Recreational swimming
- Sports
- Games
- Arts and crafts
Extended day and specialty camps are also available for children ages 6-12, including:
- New - Reel Creators: Lights, Camera, Action! This unique camp combines digital storytelling, video production, and social media savvy to help young creators bring their ideas to life on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- New - From Imagination to Stage - Step into the spotlight at the Old Bridge Family YMCA’s Imagination to Stage Summer Specialty Camp! Campers will explore the exciting world of theater through fun improvisation games, creative storytelling, acting, set design, and playwriting.
- Hoops & Hustle - This camp welcomes players of all stages of development and will focus on the foundational elements of the game – shooting, passing, dribbling, and defending.
- Art Adventures - Campers will explore the world of art through clay modeling, watercolor painting, oil pastels, self-portraits, and more.
"When I think about our Y camps, three things come to mind: adventure, friendships and discovery,” said Graham. "We give kids and teens a safe and welcoming environment where they can explore new interests, bond with their peers and grow as individuals - all while having an unforgettable summer.”
As part of the Y’s commitment to creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere, every camp counselor receives extensive training in various topics prior to the start of each camp season and are First Aid and CPR certified. A low camper-to-counselor ratio and allergy-aware staff ensures every child receives the attention and care they need.
The Old Bridge Y summer camp and all YMCA of the Jersey Shore day camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and hold a Praesidium accreditation, meeting the highest industry standards for child abuse prevention and in keeping with the YMCA’s commitment to safety and excellence.
