Middlesex Invites Residents To Help Grow 'Victor the Rock Snake' This Summer

MIDDLESEX, NJ — The Borough of Middlesex is encouraging community members to participate in a fun summer project by adding painted rocks to "Victor the Rock Snake" at Victor Crowell Park.

Residents are invited to paint a positive message or picture on a rock and place it along the snake's growing display.

Organizers ask participants to avoid political messages, write their initials on the bottom of their rocks so they can be reclaimed at the end of the summer, and use acrylic paint with a clear weatherproof sealer to protect their artwork.

Victor the Rock Snake has been relocated to a new spot in Victor Crowell Park, just past the boathouse for those entering from Route 28.

The new location features a bed of wood chips and plenty of room for the community-created snake to grow throughout the season.

The initiative aims to bring residents together through creativity while creating a colorful public art display for everyone to enjoy.
