Middlesex Schools Release Final Early Dismissal, Closing Dates Through Year End
The last day of school is June 24, which will also serve as graduation day and an early dismissal for students.
MIDDLESEX, NJ — Middlesex Borough Schools have released their final early dismissal and school closing dates for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The last day of school is Wednesday, June 24, which is also an early dismissal day and graduation.
Note that May 26 has a split schedule: Parker Elementary, Watchung Elementary, Woodland Intermediate, Mauger Middle School, and Middlesex High School are closed, while Hazelwood School will have an early dismissal that day due to the use of an emergency day on Dec. 15, 2025.
There will be no before or aftercare at Hazelwood on May 26.

The full schedule is as follows:
- May 22 — Early dismissal, all schools
- May 25 — Schools closed (Memorial Day)
- May 26 — Schools closed: Parker Elementary, Watchung Elementary, Woodland Intermediate, Mauger Middle School, Middlesex High School; Early dismissal: Hazelwood School only
- June 2 — Schools closed for students (Primary Election Day)
- June 15 — Schools closed (observance of Juneteenth)
- June 19 — Early dismissal
- June 22 — Early dismissal
- June 23 — Early dismissal
- June 24 — Early dismissal/last day of school/graduation
