Vincent and Amanda Malone, lifelong firearms enthusiasts, launched Middletown Arms from a shared passion for responsible ownership, education, and community service. Amanda, who grew up in Middletown, New Jersey, and is proud to be the first woman to own a gun store in Monmouth County, drew inspiration partly from her own experiences. “I wanted to create a business where women feel comfortable, respected, and treated equally—whether they’re first-time buyers or experienced firearm owners,” she shared.
The couple saw a gap in the market for a store that goes beyond sales. “We wanted to create a place where people could come for honest guidance, training, and education in a welcoming environment,” Amanda explained. Port Monmouth proved an ideal location for their family-run venture, allowing them to serve local residents while building strong customer relationships centered on trust, safety, and education.

Safety and responsible gun ownership form the cornerstone of Middletown Arms Co.’s mission. All staff members are certified firearms instructors, enabling the store to offer professional training, personalized guidance, and education tailored to newcomers and seasoned shooters alike.
“We strongly believe firearm ownership comes with serious responsibility,” the owners emphasize. This includes not only safe handling and storage but also legal responsibilities, situational awareness, and informed decisions about personal protection.
