LINCROFT, NJ — Evacuation orders were given after flames engulfed part of a Middletown home on Saturday, the Independent Fire Company of Belford said.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Truck Company 7 was specially requested by Chief Of Department Danny Kelly into the Lincroft section of Middletown for a house fire.
Once authorities arrived at the home, evacuation orders were given for a full roof collapse.
7 Truck set up and prepared for master pipe operations, which were then directed to open up the soffit areas.
Once the majority of the fire was knocked down, crews were allowed back into the home and performed primary and secondary searches, along with overhaul and extinguishment of the remaining fire.
Members worked alongside Lincroft Fire Co, River Plaza Hose Co #1, Middletown Fire Co #1, Navesink, and Belford Engine to bring the fire under control.
No injuries to any members of the department or public were reported.
