ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — The Pennsylvania man who appears to have fallen off his boat while clamming in Sandy Hook Bay has still not been found as of Tuesday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police, who have taken over the search operation.
The missing man has only been identified as a 64-year-old man from Southampton, PA, in lower Bucks County.
The man's boat was found at 10:45 a.m. Monday near the SeaStreak ferry dock at the Atlantic Highlands town marina. It was a clam boat and it was found near an area with submerged pilings, said State Police.
The owner of the boat, a 64-year-old man from Southampton, PA, was not onboard, said State Police.
"Search operations continued into Monday night and resumed today. Search efforts remain ongoing at this time," said State Police at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
