Oak Hill Academy Announces New Shared Leadership Structure for 20262027 School Year

As Oak Hill Academy in Lincroft starts its 46th school year, the school is announcing an updated administrative leadership structure designed to strengthen support for students, faculty, staff, and families while continuing the school's longstanding commitment to academic excellence and character development.

The new leadership model, approved by the Oak Hill Academy Board of Trustees, reflects nearly three years of planning, discussion, and evaluation. While leadership titles and responsibilities are evolving, the school's mission and educational philosophy remain unchanged.

For decades, Oak Hill Academy has challenged students to ask meaningful questions, think independently, solve problems creatively, work collaboratively, and develop strong character. As education continues to evolve, the school is committed to building on its foundational values while preparing students with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and understanding they will need to thrive in a technologically driven world.

"Our mission remains unchanged: to educate the whole child by developing both academic excellence and personal character," said Joseph A. Pacelli, President of Oak Hill Academy. "This new leadership structure gives us an opportunity to strengthen that mission while providing even greater support to our students, teachers, and families."

Under the new model, Oak Hill Academy will be guided by a collaborative leadership team consisting of:

Joseph A. Pacelli — President

Mr. Pacelli's new role will allow him to provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for Oak Hill Academy while dedicating increased time to working directly with teachers and students.

A long-time advocate for innovative teaching and individualized student development, Mr. Pacelli said the new structure will allow him to focus more closely on supporting teachers, developing creative instructional approaches, and recognizing the unique talents of individual students.

Christina J. Larkins — Head of Programs and Enrollment

Mrs. Larkins will lead the school's academic programs, curriculum initiatives, student experience, admissions, and enrollment growth.

Entering her 35th year at Oak Hill Academy, Mrs. Larkins joined the school in 1991. She is a graduate of Drew University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She subsequently earned her teaching certification and received a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Monmouth University, including a Principal's Certificate.

Gina M. Misson — Head of Finance and Operations

Mrs. Misson will oversee the school's financial management, facilities, business operations, and long-term organizational planning.

Mrs. Misson is entering her 38th year at Oak Hill Academy, having joined the school in 1988. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration degree from Monmouth University.

Patrice M. Murray — Head of Personnel and Administration

Miss Murray will support Oak Hill Academy's faculty and staff while overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions that help the school operate effectively and efficiently.

Entering her 45th year at Oak Hill Academy, Miss Murray joined the school in 1982. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Monmouth University and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration, along with a Principal's Certificate, from Monmouth University.

"Oak Hill Academy is exceptionally fortunate to have three such experienced, talented, and dedicated professionals serving in these important, shared leadership roles," Mr. Pacelli said. "Their institutional knowledge, commitment, and deep love for Oak Hill make them exceptionally well qualified to help lead the school into the future."

The collaborative structure builds on a leadership approach already familiar to the school. The members of the team have extensive experience working together and sharing responsibility for decision-making, providing continuity while allowing each leader to focus on a specific area of school operations. The updated structure also reflects a broader trend among independent schools nationwide that are evaluating how best to organize leadership in response to the changing needs of education and school communities.

Most importantly, Oak Hill Academy's commitment to its students remains at the heart of the new model. Students will continue to learn in an environment where they are known, challenged, encouraged, supported, and valued as individuals.
